French Cooking Made Easy For Kids
Kids are always fascinated with the goings-on in our kitchens. They're curious and want to know why this utensil is used or why the eggs are separated and too, most have to taste for themselves before they believe baking cocoa isn't as sweet as it looks in its raw form. There they are, wide-eyed and watching every move the cook makes eager to help whenever they're allowed.
Why not let them in on the fun? French cooking for kids doesn't have to mean you'll need two days rest afterwards. In fact, it can be great bonding time and will allow the little ones the opportunity to shine with their own attempts at French cooking. For kids, it's all about the anticipation of hearing their creations are nothing short of delicious. Find some kid-friendly recipes and let them loose. You can be sure these are the memories they'll re-tell their own children someday. And it just might be a family tradition in the making.
While you're at it, why not make it a special occasion with a menu of nothing but French cooking for kids and adults alike? Allow them to make a shopping list, choose the items at the grocer and set the table? They can even prepare a menu and invitations. By letting them play a large role, they learn to respect the art of cooking; and for the little ones, it becomes an event - a special occasion.
